Our Story:

Founders Joe Chapman, Tyler Mueller, Brian Hebein, and Carolyn Chapman aimed to promote inclusivity in everyday athletics. Many athletes face barriers to participation due to financial constraints mental health issues, or physical limitations. With a deep passion for athletics, these four founders recognize the positive impact sports can have on individuals' lives. Their mission is to ensure that athletics remain accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities, while navigating potential obstacles.
In 2022, the founders met with Mike Ansay and his team at Ansay Development to discuss an upcoming project in Saukville, Wisconsin. Through several meetings and collaborative planning, a strong partnership developed to create a state-of-the-art Indoor Athletic Complex part of this new development. During these discussions, they learned about Mel's Charities and its founder, Tom Stanton, with the key takeaway being the word "INCLUSIVE." This transformative project, named "The Northern Gateway," will feature an entertainment district called Mel's Village. Acknowledging that life can be challenging, Mel's Charities strives to maximize positive experiences. Being invited to serve as the "anchor" of Mel's Village is both a blessing and an honor.
